We stayed at an RV site, and it was great. The trees are amazing, and the view of the lake is spectacular. The staff is spot on and dinner at the restaurant was so good, prime rib was cooked perfectly and topped off by the most amazing cheesecake. Before dinner was served to us, we witnessed a bald eagle grabbing a treat out front in the lake. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Oh, and frogs chirping when we walked our pups.

I messed up my reservation, but the clerk accommodated me. We stayed in a 30 ft or so RV. I would have liked the cabins better, but that was my fault. The clerk was awesome. The resort had a restaurant on site as well—decent food.

Almost a 5-star review. The staff were all great, from housekeeping to the restaurant wait staff. The location was superb for kayaking the canoe trails. The resort is small, quiet, and clean. We stayed in a rustic cabin. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the kitchen had about everything you should need. Our only complaint about the cabin was the dim lighting in the living room. It was hard to see at night.
The restaurant produced ample proportions of decent food. The taters are interesting, halfway between a tater chip and a fry. Expect basic dining, not fine dining. The view from the restaurant is superb, and we were not rushed from our table. There is a store there with basic stuff.

We found there was not much to do locally in the evening except walk on the road going past the resort. There are no nearby hiking trails. Beautiful country. We came in March to see birds and boy did we see birds. The canoe trails were mostly empty of people therefore nobody bothered the wildlife.
